What is Asignate?

Asignate is a platform that provides high-quality, cost-effective talent selection solutions. It streamlines the hiring process by enabling job postings, candidate applications, and interviews conducted by specialized psychologists, ensuring a seamless end-to-end recruitment experience.

However, as the platform continues to grow, its core software requires modernization to meet evolving user demands. This project focuses on rebuilding Asignate with cutting-edge technology, enhancing its efficiency, scalability, and overall performance to support future expansion.

The Challenge

Asignate is a digital Human Resources platform that connects people with SMEs.
Hire quickly and cost-effectively, and rely on Asignate as an extension of your HR team.
This fast-growing recruitment platform, needed a complete software overhaul to enhance stability, scalability, and user experience. Their existing system, while effective, required modernization to meet increasing demands.

  • Performance Bottlenecks


Their existing system struggled to handle increasing traffic and large amounts of data. As more users joined the platform and more job applications were processed, the system slowed down, causing delays and inefficiencies. This directly affected both recruiters and job seekers, making the platform less reliable.

  • Outdated Technology


The platform was built on older technology that limited its potential for innovation and growth. It lacked the modern capabilities needed to scale efficiently and integrate new tools. As a result, maintaining and upgrading the system became increasingly difficult and costly.

  • User Experience Issues


The interface was outdated and not optimized for modern user expectations. Navigation was not as intuitive as it should be, making it harder for users to interact with the platform effectively. Both job seekers and recruiters found the experience frustrating, which could lead to lower engagement and retention.

  • Limited Flexibility for New Features


Adding new functionalities was complicated and time-consuming due to the rigid architecture of the old system. Every update required significant effort, slowing down the company’s ability to introduce improvements or respond quickly to market demands.

By addressing these challenges with a complete software reconstruction, we helped Asignate create a more scalable, efficient, and user-friendly platform that supports their continued growth and enhances the experience for all users.

Our Solution

To address Asignate’s challenges and modernize their platform, we rebuilt Asignate’s platform with cutting-edge technology:

  • Technology Upgrade

·Frontend Migration to Flutter: We transitioned the platform’s interface to Flutter, enabling a smoother, faster, and more engaging experience across mobile and web.
·Backend Migration to Node.js: We replaced the existing PHP backend with Node.js, ensuring a more scalable, high-performance system capable of handling increased traffic and data loads.

  • Discovery Phase

We conducted in-depth research on both job seekers and employers to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations.

  • User Experience (UX) Research

We analyzed competitors and took inspiration from platforms like Tinder for a swipe-based matching system, making job searching more intuitive and engaging.

  • User Interface (UI) Design

We explored modern design inspirations to create a visually appealing and highly functional interface, ensuring ease of use for both recruiters and candidates.

  • Deployment & Quality Assurance
    Before launching, we conducted extensive QA testing to ensure a flawless experience, testing performance, usability, and reliability.


This transformation provided Asignate with a faster, more efficient, and scalable platform, enhancing user satisfaction and positioning them for continued growth.

Impact

The reconstruction of Asignate’s platform resulted in significant improvements, enhancing both performance and user experience. One of the most critical impacts was scalability. With the migration to Node.js, the system can now handle higher traffic and larger data volumes without performance issues. This allows more users to access the platform simultaneously, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience.

User experience also saw major enhancements. By incorporating a Tinder-style swipe feature, job searching became more intuitive and engaging. The redesigned UI, inspired by modern design trends, provides a seamless experience across both mobile and web platforms. As a result, job seekers and recruiters can now navigate the platform more efficiently and complete tasks faster.

The hiring process also became significantly faster and more agile. Employers can now post job opportunities, review candidates, and make hiring decisions much more quickly. The improved matching algorithm helps connect the right candidates with the right jobs, reducing the time it takes to fill positions and improving overall recruitment efficiency.

Additionally, operational efficiency increased as internal processes, such as candidate validation and interviews, became more streamlined and automated. This allowed the Asignate team to focus less on manual administrative tasks and more on strategic hiring support, ultimately improving service quality.

Lastly, these improvements provided Asignate with a strong competitive advantage.
